This photo was taken at Marineland in St. Augustine, Fl.
Marineland is the first oceanarium in the world. Marineland was built in the 1930s by a group of men who visualized an indoor “ocean,” with tanks large enough for underwater filming and a realistic replication of underwater marine life as it existed in the wild. They opened in 1938 as the world’s first underwater motion picture studio and “oceanarium. It was at first called Marine Studios and they later changed the name to Marineland. It became the state's most successful tourist attraction!
